It might be on its way to the scrapyard

Yep. You read it right.

After 7 years and 86,000 miles it looks like my SV is on its way. MOT failure on 4 points including suspension linkage. The repair for a 7 yr old high mileage bike (following front suspension last year, and 2 tyres in the next few weeks) suggests it is time to throw the towel in and look for something else.

The OH doesn't like the idea of the sensible option for a replacement (2nd hand Pan European) or the low mileage F650GS. So I'm off to test ride a couple of NC700's tomorrow!!

Pan Euro, one of the campers at Peel had the SV as a toy and the Pan as a hack

TBH put it on the Org you'll get something for it!

I shall be holding out for some value - i need the deposit on the next one!!!

It'll be interesting to see how the NC700 feels - low revving (6,500 rpm) and low output (68 bhp) against the 11,000 rpm and 57bhp of the SV. 115mph seems a bit lower than the more usual 128 - 130 of the SV too

Stick it up in the for sale section, I'm sure someone will give you more than scrap value for it :)
