LED indicators and resistors
At the risk of some abuse...
I've bought some LED indicators and separate resistors for the rear end of the bike. I will be getting the LED relay when I figure out what I'm doing at the front end but until then it's resistors. They are branded as Alchemy and have two yellow leads on one side of the resistor and two black on the other. I was expecting just the two wires... Has anyone got any experience of these? I could probably faff about until they worked but I'd rather go in with pictures! Thanks, Mark |
Re: LED indicators and resistors
just buy the relay, you can buy one that will work with if you put LED's on the front at a latter date, quickier easier and less messing around.
if you enjoy messing around, calculate the resistance difference between a standard indicator and the LED's then buy the necessary resistors from maplins. sorry i have no idea about 4 wire resistors. |
Re: LED indicators and resistors
Something like this, just plug & play. Works with both types I think

Re: LED indicators and resistors
Just wire the LED lamps and Resistors together in parallel, then add to your loom. Simple. Make sure that you check polarity of your leads on the bike first, if you wire them the wrong way around, the LEDs wont light.

Anyway. Online seller came back to me with a simple diagram that explained everything. The way it's designed is to ensure the resistor goes in parallel so it's two wires from the loom and two wires to the indicator. As I bought resistor and indicator from the same place they should plug straight in no problem. Thanks, Mark |
Re: LED indicators and resistors
i've just fitted motrax led fire indicators to th front of my bike , and im well impressed by them
