GSXR K6 Shock in Curvy?

Well fitted the shock, needed to cut the airbox and move a few bits, but the bike is now sat on its ****!! about 4 inches lower than standard???

Checked the mounting points and shock length is pretty much like for like!

Any ideas??

Cheers

Chris

Air box do you mean battery box ?? Have you put the shock to its high setting?

When looking at the shock your see a metal ring that has chunks chopped out of it this rises and lowers the shock.

Picture explains it better sorry

Also is the shock in working order ?? The shock might be faulty. Not holding the pressure.

Is that not just the preload adjustment? Don't think it alters the distance between mounting points.

OP, Which shock do you have specifically? GSXR 600, 1000 etc? Every gixxer shock from that year is shorter than standard as far as I can see. A 10mm shorter shock will lower the rear at the tail by around twice that amount I think.

Take the shock off, measure it's length between centres of mounting holes, if it's more than a few millimetres longer or shorter than the standard shock it's not really suitable.
