Also if you've got any better suggestions please feel free to let me know, price is a big objective, but i dont want to loose out on too much quality.

Thanks In advance

Wemoto chain & sprocket kits. I tried to do the ebay thing & didnt have any faith in what they were going to sell me.

Give B&C Express a try:

Try this, it's what I've just fitted. The chain they supply is a black and gold one. http://www.bitzforbikes.co.uk/DID_VX...-2522-513.html

Re: Chain And Sprocket

Those you link are cheap crap... all except for the JT sprockets bit. JT are decent.
DID VX is economy grade chain, but will be better than the no-name rubbish.

Do you want cheap, or value for money?

Re: Chain And Sprocket

I've changed two chain and sprocket sets. SV and Gixxer. Both were DID. SV did about 3000 before sale. Gixer has done about the same. Not long enough to give a true indication of quality, but neither needed adjusting nor has developed any problems and all have been brutally mercilessly thrashed.

Conclusion: DID seem fantastic and good value for money (also do a rivetting tool in many ebay kits), but may explode at 3001 miles. No way to be sure.

Honestly, cheap value for money would be best :D

I know its unlikely though, I want to spend around £100 all in, so the best for that sort of value.

The third Link I posted with the JT sprockets looks good to me, the chain cant be that bad can it?
Theres also several ebay posts with DID chains safe to assume one fo them is good, I've used a DID chain before and it was fine.

Rather than start a new thread on this - quick question, what's the difference between a kit for a pointy SV650s 03-07 & for 08-10?

Re: Which chain and sprockets?

I believe the S moved to a 45 tooth rear. Same chain & front sprocket, +1 on the back vs the 44 tooth that was there before.

Either would fit, just a slight down gearing.

But I could be wrong.
