Power commander for 12/13 model?
Hi does any 1 know if they do a power commander or two brothers fuel commander for a l2/l3 model year, and are they worth using.
Cheers. |

Power commander without a doubt. Never had TB exhaust so can't comment on that bit.
Forgot to add it should be a PCV same as on my K9 |
Re: Power commander for 12/13 model?
my suggestion (not that that matters), don't bother unless you have a very modified SV that needs the fuelling messed with. a standard SV even with a can and filter all you will be doing is moving the curve around. yes you might feel a difference but in reality there will be no more/very little extra horses produced.
save the cash and spend it on things that matter like tyres and servicing. unless your mega loaded then bash on. |

Cheers fellas. No not loaded. Wish I was lol. Getting a scorpion carbine extreamy thingy can. May get a filter to when I've done a few more miles. May just leave it then.

You arent moving the curve around when fueling the bike, your optimising the fueling which will ultimatly make some changes to the curve but will give you a bike that fuels as it should, ride alot nicer and not eat gallons of fuel and spit it straight back out again! |
Re: Power commander for 12/13 model?
did you use a PC or map the bikes ECU?
|
Re: Power commander for 12/13 model?
Mapped the ecu directly using the pro bike software which has more range than the yoshi/teka box.
Works really well. PC5 has even more scope than the pro bike software and is ideal if you dont have a dyno nearby that uses the pro bike software or are running a tuned engine etc. Healtech FI Tuner Pro is also recommended as plugs direct to the diagnostics plug and can be custom mapped on the dyno using the supplied software - one advantage over the PC5 is if you change your bike for another Suzuki the FI Tuner will unplug and then plug into any other Suzuki that has a diagnostics plug.. Most bikes we see come in are running rich when decatted - Triumphs though tend to run off very very lean low down. |

What's the chances of me having to do any changes after fitting the scorpion end can.

Re: Power commander for 12/13 model?
TBH you wont know until you get an air fuel run done on a dyno to be 100% sure. Even stock bikes benefit from a proper fueling map as no two bikes will require the same fueling map..
You wont be a mile out though, certainly not enough to be causing an issue if you dont have a running problem..but it all comes down to budget and whether you want to get the bike running as best it can or if MPG is a major concern. |
Re: Power commander for 12/13 model?
none.
i have Beowulf, K&N and cut down snorkel and my bike runs just fine. ask yourself a couple of serious questions. do you do a lot of track days? can you rag the titzz out the bike everywhere? does your bike run like a pile of poo? |
