02 curvy popping from exhaust, inlet manifold?
 

Hi everybody I'm new to this forum, I bought my second hand 02 curvy sv650 last week. It's been stood a while before I bought it and needed a new battery, after that it started fine but there is a popping coming from the exhaust. I've had the bike stripped down and I believe the front inlet manifold has been repaired and is now causing problems again due to the repair being old.

I've purchased another inlet manifold from eBay, are the front and rear manifolds the same. Just turned 180degrees?

They have different part numbers, which likely means no, not the same.

The angles might be different, or the spigots for front vacuum take off/ fuel pump vacuum take off different sizes.

Also the screws can be an absolute git to remove.

I'll 2nd that having had a go at the weekend getting one off an old head...
