Pointy Caliper play?
So finished the brake rebuild finally (new seals, pistons RR'd, new fluid etc)
I noticed that when the front brake isn't applied, both calipers have a slight play in them (ie move side to side less than a mm) Everything torqued up just fine, 99.9% sure all the air has been bled out of the system and seem to be working (The front wheel locks if I run it up the garage) Just wondered if this was normal or have I done something terrible? |
Re: Pointy Caliper play?
The calipers are on sliding pins. One part of the body will be solid as this is bolted to the fork leg, the other part will move on the sliding pins slightly when the brakes are not applied. Correct and normal.
