Fuel Exhaust Fitting?

Well I've got my new Fuel Exhaust, can someone tell me how long it should take to cut through the exhaust with a hacksaw !!! I'm at work tomorrow and wanted to do it before I go to work so want some idea how early I might have to get up :?

well how enthusiastic are you :smt102, 10 minutes max I'd say, but stop for a brew & a fag and it could take you an hour, personally I use a 10" grinder and it takes about 20 seconds.

Cheers its not that bad then :D only ever fitted slip ons before never had to cut through an exhaust before. Might have time to ride it as well then ;)

be aware it's double walled, there's an inside vented tube as well.

](*,) Well thats not happening got the heat shield off, taped up the footrest then just couldn't get a decent angle to make a start on the floor.

Plan B - get someone else to do it or get some proper tools ;)

At least your shield came off ok. My bolts had seized and ended up snapping! Why can't you get a good angle on it?

Seriously :smt102,

got to be the simplest of jobs, where are you (as you haven't put it in your profile), perhaps someone local can assist ?

Just at work now ran out of time a bit after getting the shield off, my bolt heads came off as well !!!

I'm in Accrington Lancs, I think once I get into it it will be ok but I was trying to do it on the garage on the floor. Might hire a saw midweek.
