LED indicators
HI , I have a 2014 SV650 and I've been told that you can fit LED indicators to it without adding resistors or a new relay? .. is this correct are they just plug and play ?
Thanks |
Re: LED indicators
unless suzuki have changed the relay (very much doubt) then i dont think so.

Re: LED indicators
so all i need is the relay and the indicators ? and is the relay just a plug in

Re: LED indicators
Yes, you can get a relay that just replaces the oem that works with LEDs. Look on ebay, plenty of choice, but go for a uk seller.
My oxford nano led's come with resistor, and are straightforward to fit, so i didn't need a relay. Just remember that most led's come with bullet connectors and you will need 4 adaptors to convert bullet to suzuki connectors, saves cutting the wiring. Also if yours is a faired model then you will also need some Indy Spacers to fit the LEDs in the fairing |
Re: LED indicators
Sometimes the resistors don't work as supplied.
Also remember that the resistors turn the surplus electrical energy into thermal (heat) energy, so locate them well away from plastics or anything else that may be affected by it, they can become hot enough to melt plastic easy. That said, they look well smart and bright and they go better with the led tail-light. Also read what maviczap also says about the spacers and connectors, before you start. |
Re: LED indicators
I suspect the cheapo ones don't work properly, my Oxford Nano's are well made & the quality is very good. They are a bit more expensive, but they've never given me any problems

Mines got a Powerbronze undertray & a different number plate hanger, so I didn't need spacers for the rear |
