High Level Link Pipe

Recently Purchased a Stainless Steel Oval Road Legal Scorpion can (bit of a mouthful) at the BMF. It was a bargain-but didnt come with the link pipe. I spoke to Scorpion UK at the show and they were really obstructive when I asked about purchasing a link pipe. Basically gave me a load of crap and excuses about why I would have to buy a whole new can and link pipe off them- I don't think so chaps.....

Does anyone know of any Scorpion suppliers who may be a little more helpful in my quest for a high-level link pipe?

Any suggestions welcome.

Dan.

I don't think you can make link pipes out of washing up bottles and double sided tape :)

I was thinking bean cans and superglue....

I can weld and fabricate bits and bobs-but its just finding the time.........

Scorpion don't sell linkpipes on thier own purely to stop exactly what you have done, they sell a can to fit a bike, if your can wont fit wih thier linkpipe then they dont want to be harrassed coz essentially it not thier problem.
Even dealers struggle to get seperate parts.

Try ART, they used to sell them seperately, if not mark hill at MHP can make you one

I bought the same can as you from Cupar Suzuki up here in Scotland. At the time I asked about a high level link pipe and they said I could get one no problem in the future. I've never got round to getting one (maybe next year) but if you give them a call they might be able to help.

Ali, Andrew or Phil on 01334-655757. They should be able to deliver if to you if you're down souf. I think it was £20 for the pipe and bracket, not sure about the P&P though.

ps. that was for a K3, not sure what model you have but I doubt it will make a difference.

I made my own. Here are some pics of the parts and results...

The can was designed for a CBR 900, it's a Two Brothers Carbon Fibre oval, and is very short, and loud :D
The header pipes are made from 2 1/4" OD stainless mandrel bent 30 degree sections tig welded together, the adapter plate was cut from 1/4" SS plate.
I bought a rear header from a breaker which had already been cut for a slip-on, which means my original exhaust is still complete...

Cheers for the number lads, I will let you know how I get on.

Top fabrication on the link pipe Roger-looks like an excellent job.

If you ahve no luck bear in mind Scorpion use a stock 2" inlet so a Wolf, ART, Renegade, Blue Flame or Micron link pipe will fit straight on
