Rear Hugger
Hello All,
Fancy fitting a rear hugger to my bike, have had a look around but actually prefer the genuine one from Suzuki. Has anyone fitted one of these themselves for a K4? And if so is it pretty easy?? |
Re
Waiting on delivery of one for my curvy. I'll let you know how it goes. :D

I have the official K4 one. Look and fit is very good. Fitting is easy, only difficulty I had was of the two points on the swingarm (currently holding your chainguard on), the rear one had seized up. Gave it a good soaking in WD40, tap with a hammer (tap mind- not a clout!) with a cloth on it to prevent denting etc. reapplied WD40. Did this 3 days on the trot, heating it with a hairdryer on one occassion and it finally popper loose.
Thankfully, the replacement ones that come with the hugger appear to be stainless steel  Might be worth checking if any of the bolts have seized and if they have, try loosening them first. Other than that, there's just the obvious, make sure it's not dragging on your tyre. Would I buy it agian? definately, I've not seen a better aftermarket one and it's not massively more pricey to get an official one. |
cool, how much did you pay for your official hugger?
