Fuel

So on a regular basis what do you use?

creamerybutter 10-06-05 08:54 AM

Just your standard Unleaded for me, I'm too cheap for anything else.....

weegaz22 10-06-05 08:57 AM

i usually use a bit of both, normal unleaded and optimax/ultimate, depends on which petrol station i use, in saying that, i bought a tank of optimax a few weeks ago and it fooked my bike up good and proper...must have been water or a lot of crud in the fuel, soon as the tank was drained and fuel replaced it was fine again, strange as its usually a busy petrol station

Standard stuff for me, I do try and stay away from supermarket fuel though if I can

Viney 10-06-05 09:04 AM

For me, its Optimax/Ultimate, then Super, then regular.

Never, to date, have i had an issue with supermarket fuel, although i know some people do

i have a diesel car, so i have to vote for diesel. i resent being called a muppet however!

fizzwheel 10-06-05 09:07 AM

I havent either, The keep having spells of putting diesel in the unleaded tanks at the local Asda though, I think they have done it 3 times now, muppets

Viney, I think your poll options are wrong...

It should be:
- Super unleaded is usually 97 RON
- BP Ultimate is 97 RON (so just BP's super unleaded)
- Shell Optimax is 98.5 RON

I always use Optimax in the car.... and when I can be bothered, in the bike. However, it's now more expensive than it used to be :(

weegaz22 10-06-05 09:08 AM

ill be using optimax/ultimate more often once i fit my 5 degree advance key :D

weegaz22 10-06-05 09:11 AM

billy isnt ultimate supposed to be higher than that??
