Tyre Clearance

Don't know if this has been asked before & if so forgive me for being a div, i have a Suzuki hugger fitted to my SV & was thinking about getting some Z6's fitted but after seeing the different profile of the z6 at the NEC compared to the stock tyre profile i am a bit concerned that it might rub on the hugger which does sit very close to the tyre, has anyone out there had any experience of this.

Ooooooorrrrr should i just say stuff it & get roadattacks. :?

The tyre height should be identical (160/60).

Tire height varries quite a bit between different tires of the same size spec, my guess is as much as 10mm, maybe even a little more

If that were the case the the speedo would be seriously thrown out of kilter.

I have a Suzuki hugger and also on my second set of Z6 Roadtech, there is no problem with the tyres catching but the Z6 certainly is a round tyre unlike many others.

Think about the word, Hugger, it is supposed to be close :P

Speedo error DOES varry quite a bit depending on what you have for tires, it varries almost 5% over the life of the tire

Why would it alter the speedo reading? the speedo on an SV works on the front wheel and it doesnt matter how much you do a burn out or ride hard, the front tyre circumference will not be drastically changed :?
