fitting new discs and pads on the front.
I have my lovely new discs and pads and I think I know what to do, Remove the wheel, remove the discs, put on new discs and put new pads in calipers and then replace wheel. Is there anything else I sould consider/do for example will the brakes need bleeding etc? Also the manuals don't mention putting any greese on the axle, is this right?

May need to push pistons in a maybe empty a little fluid from the resivour. Dont need to bleed your brakes again. I do greese the axle a little when I take it out. |
Cheers, also how long does it take to bed in new pads/discs. I'm trying to decide if I will put them on tonight or after I get back from the rideout.

I have seen people use non-permanent thread-lock on the disc bolts. Not sure if this is essential or not, though I'm sure someone will be along to comment. :D

Clean the discs with a solvent based brake cleaner before you fit them so that manufacturing and storage lubricants do not contaminate the brake pads.
