abletronics absolute protec alarms?
anyone know anything about them? theres one on this sv1000 but ive only got one remote?
and the bl@@dy thing keeps arming itself if left for 30secs unattended :? |
all alarms do that. if your working on the bike you want to put it in ferry mode.
|
whats that and how do i do it?
|
these alarms get a good write up on the web and cost a small packet aswell :D makes me think i got the bike for a good price.
|
if theres 2 buttons on the alarm, i'd imagine you press the other one after alarming it. thats how my datatool works anyway.
|
Doesn't work like the datatool I think. Leave the bike for 30sec and it'll beep and imoboliser activates only. Arm it from the fob and imobiliser/alarm is activated.
I lost a fob some time ago and have been using the spare. Bought a spare fob from them but cannot for the life of me sort it out(recalibrate?) it for the alarm. Me and my girl have tried at least 20+ times to no avail. For the price you pay, the manual(a basic photocopy)is sh*te and the guy on the help desk is even worse! If you need the instructions let me know and I'll see what I can do to get them to you. Sean |

I had one of those alarms on my Sv i was provided wirth a converted key and a normal key fob. It's a good arlam system and i never hasd any trouble with it at all
As said if you just leave it it only arms the immobiliser |

|
have just had aquick look through my paperwork and stuff but couldn't find the manual, I'll have a proper look later see if i can dig it up
i don't know if yours is the same as mine but mine seemed to be based round a Meta alarm system |
