Default abletronics absolute protec alarms?

anyone know anything about them? theres one on this sv1000 but ive only got one remote?
and the bl@@dy thing keeps arming itself if left for 30secs unattended

all alarms do that. if your working on the bike you want to put it in ferry mode.

these alarms get a good write up on the web and cost a small packet aswell makes me think i got the bike for a good price.

if theres 2 buttons on the alarm, i'd imagine you press the other one after alarming it. thats how my datatool works anyway.

Doesn't work like the datatool I think. Leave the bike for 30sec and it'll beep and imoboliser activates only. Arm it from the fob and imobiliser/alarm is activated.

I lost a fob some time ago and have been using the spare. Bought a spare fob from them but cannot for the life of me sort it out(recalibrate?) it for the alarm. Me and my girl have tried at least 20+ times to no avail. For the price you pay, the manual(a basic photocopy)is sh*te and the guy on the help desk is even worse!

If you need the instructions let me know and I'll see what I can do to get them to you.

I had one of those alarms on my Sv i was provided wirth a converted key and a normal key fob. It's a good arlam system and i never hasd any trouble with it at all
As said if you just leave it it only arms the immobiliser

ive just got the converted key have you got the manual dirtydog? do you know where i can get one from? maybe a download in pdf?

have just had aquick look through my paperwork and stuff but couldn't find the manual, I'll have a proper look later see if i can dig it up
i don't know if yours is the same as mine but mine seemed to be based round a Meta alarm system
