Installing LED indicators
I bought a new undertray from Ermaxuk. The undertray has the LED indicators built in. The kit came with a resister to slow the indictor blinking down to the normal speed. Only problem I have is that I havent got a baldies how to fit it, and it came with no instructions. The resister has 2 red wires and a black 1. Anyone have any ideas?????

Re: Installing LED indicators
Interesting. A resistor should just have 2 wires! You wire it across the two wires from the leds. Thats how you normaly do it. 3 wires, havent the foggiest. Sorry

Re: Installing LED indicators
Maybe I was wrong in calling it a resister. Would it be a relay or something. The instructions from ermax were none existant:rolleyes:

Re: Installing LED indicators
It probably is a resistor, as LEDs have lower resistance than bulbs and this causes the flasher unit to speed up. Post up a piccie and we can soon tell ya what it is.

Re: Installing LED indicators
sounds like it might welll be a different relay suitable for the low current draw of LEDs, like this sort of thing (only with wires attached??)

Re: Installing LED indicators
its a resistor yeah. But as the black is a negative you only need to connect it once. Put the resistor after the indicators and connect each red wire to the negative coming off the indicators. Then connect the black back to either of original negative wires.
