Re: Tyre presures

I've used 33/36 on Pirelli Diablo stradas (same thing, different badge), but no idea if it's the optimum, I can never be bothered fiddling and assessing, my ride depends so much on me that I think I'm not consistent enough in my riding skills to work out optimum pressures. Low pressure doesn't work great though!

On track I drop then 1-2 psi before the first session.

You get so much conflicting information about the right tyre pressures. When we fitted the Pilot Road 2's, the guy put 36 front and rear. It just didn't feel right, so I actually e mailed Michelin to ask what pressures THEY recommended. Got an e mail back too.

Dear Lissa,

Thank you for your e-mail and purchasing Michelin Tyres.

We have the following pressure recommendation -

Front at 34psi
Rear at 36 psi

There is NO requirement to increase for load/speed.

If you can't find the tyre pressure info on their web site, try e mailing them. Can't hurt!

I run mine on standard pressures. 33 Front and 36 rear. Seems to work OK, I've not any complaints.

I'd start there and then tweak a few PSI here and there till you find something that works for you. Pressures are a personal thing and what I might like you might hate.
