Re: question for car lovers
Ask any VW Agent. They will know by the VIN No.

Re: question for car lovers
thought it might be on the log book but i cant see it anywhere?

Re: question for car lovers
I think you can tell by how many red letters there are in the TDI on the boot lid.... but that might be the BHP rating of the engine.

Re: question for car lovers
give another passat a drag race :)

Re: question for car lovers
its the red I model which is 100 bhp but the model is either 5b or 5.5b ? i wouldnt take much notice of the TDI badge most tdi's have that pluggin chip off ebay which pushes up the bhp anyhow.

Re: question for car lovers
I thought all TDi's from Mk 4 onwards were PD, being the type of fuel pump; 'Pumpe Deuse'.
Or summin like that spelling. I have a Golf Mk 4 TDi 130bhp & it says PD on the sticker in the inside of the log book. HTH |
Re: question for car lovers
The best way to check is to find the engine code. I will be three letters normaly starting with an A**. You can ether find it on the cambelt cover in the engine bay or on the fectory spec sticker which should be under the carpet in the boot. Give me a shout if you need the engine spec.

VW in the boot, usualy also write the PS of the engine or KW.
Dont believe the Red letters in the TDi as some peeps found changes and iregulatiries. Also give a try over at www.uk-mkivs.net |
Re: question for car lovers
