gear problems
 
:(having trouble getting me sv650 into neutral sometimes especially sitting at lights,any ideas,cheers

Check chain, check clutch cable adjustment. Most likley culprit is the clutch. Try rocking the bike about a bit too

Ha ha, shake the bike? where did that come from.

But in all probablility it's the clutch adjustment, try the cam adjuster under the front sprocket cover, but also the normal, shift shaft, oil level issues.

Morning all.
As suggested, the clutch adjustment is most likely to be the culprit. But also make sure the gear lever is pivoting smoothly.

What the others said, but check the oil level, I've found in the past that if the bikes got to much oil in it, it can be a b*gger to get into neutral.

Agreed, mine done it for some random reason when out on my bikesafe this weekend gone, and looking i had just over the full on my oil spyglass.

but a few revs before getting it in N seems to do the job.

so all three adjustment points are at maximum then, or do you mean you've screwed out the handlebar one ?
