Default Re: Time to get something with more grunt

Gooner,
You mentioned 110+ miles between fills. Was this with the smaller <2001 tank or larger >2001 tank. I think I've found out that if your dash has a digital display for fuel and time you've got the bigger tank.

As for the rest of the comments about hooligan bike I can see where you're coming from. Went out with the dealer principal he was on a CB1300 so we could swap bikes at half time. What a hoot, two very tourquey bikes managed to get in lots of overtakes you'd not even contemplate on the SV. Problem is the VTR seemed to like cruising at about 120 which felt the same as about 85-90 on my SV. Lots of license losing opportunity I feel. Still far more capable of bimbling about on this than on the CBR600RR or blade propper hooligan machines.

I was totally sold on the CB1300 until I tried the VTR. I think I'm addicted to the whole Vtwin thing now. Had a go on a mates Tuono that had a far more aggressive thrust about it but was a bit too high up for me.

Need to see if I can get a ride on an SV1000 before I enter negotiations with the Honda crowd.

I would like to add though I have had more honda info on here than I got off the VTR forum.

Cheers,
Mark
