Re: Scottoiler Dispenser Nib Position
I had a single on my last bike and a twin on my current. In both cases 7 o'clock position few mm above chain and few mm away from sprocket. Feel free to trim the thin bit of the delivery pipe if it makes life easier as it's not exactly critical to maintain it at the supplied length. Scott will send you some more for not much money at all.
Having had both a single and a double I would not hesitate in going back to a single again next time. Getting a double to deliver at a sensible rate from both tubes seems to be impossible so you end up with one right and one lubing your tyre or one right and the other dripping about once per day.
Unfortunately to retrospectively convert from double to single involved replacing or extending the main delivery tube which is too much of a faff for me to bother with.
Pipe routed along groove in tool box, under swingarm to dispenser.
PS and VERY IMPORTANT. Fitting a Scott oiler does NOT mean you no longer have to check and maintain your chain. It just does the day to day lubrication for you.
