Hi guy's - how do you know when to top up the oil and what type should I use because I've heard that standard 10/40 motor oil is no good?
(I have tried the search facility but for some reason it wont come up with any results!) I've got an 08 pointy btw... D |

Semi Synthetic 10W 40 is the main choice. I have heard of fully synthetic being used but most of the "well knowledgable blokes" say Semi Synthetic. Places like Hein Gericke do it cheap enough

look in the spy glass when the bike is completely upright, not on a sidestand. When it cold or you've let it stand for a good while if you've been out on it. Theres two lines upper and lower...inbetween them is fine. Motorcycle oil of 10W40 semi or fully synthetic.

Thanks guy's - I take it any brand of motorcycle 10/40 is ok or would you recomend any specific make - I'm fairly sure my local Suzuki dealer uses Rockoil...?
Thanks |

£9 for one litre. For £24 you can get five litres, but yes its correct oil for your bike.
