how do you remove the bars from a naked
ive got the risers off but dont know how to seperate them to remove the bars, i asume the bolts are under the silver circular caps on top but how do you take them off without damaging anything cheers |

On mine there were caps across the risers (the bits that rise the bar from the yolk right?) two allen head bolts on each riser, if you remove these they should seperate so you can take the bars off.

yea the risers split in 2 but there are 4 caps covering the allan bolts (last bit is assumption after your info) how do i remove the caps?

Have you took the bolts all the way out dave the top parts of the risers should come off releasing the bars.

now done cheers peeps on to next stage of naked rebuild (not me you cheeky gits the bike) switching throttle and levers across to the new rentals (cheers numbers)

no problem, do not cut them too short though or you'll be ****ed. Better too long than too short you can trim them more if needs be. I only just saved mine from being too short, very almost had to bin them. File the lugs off the switchgears and wrap where they're going to sit on the bars in electrical tape. Mine are nice and wide make it easy to drop the bike into a corner very quickly.

Aye probably a good plan, if you want to cut them to your own preference then you still can. should be okay just slide it all off one end and straight onto the new bars then do the other side. Probably best tackling the throttle first. You might need some boiling water and/or wd40 to remove the grip on the left.
