Default New tyre now or later ?

My new bike ( new to me ) has a new tyre on the back, but the front will need replaced shortly. Am I better using the bike just now to scrub in the back tyre before getting a new front, or get a new front one now so that both tyres will scrub in at the same time ?

Leave the front till it does need replacing, theres no need to throw a tyre away that has life left in it, just so you can scrub a pair of tyres in at the same time.

I tend to go through 2 rears to one front, so I at some time end up with a new rear and an old front, Never had a problem with it like that.

IMHO

The front is not quite down to the markers yet, but not far off, and the sides look kinda flat and fuzzy, lol.

I know you have to take it a bit easy on new tyres until the newness wears off, so thought about getting a front now to save having to take it easy twice.

I know, but it doesnt take long to scrub a tyre in, especially on a warm day. 100 miles or maybe less...

If you can financially afford to bung the front in the bin, well theres no reason not to get a new front now either.

Its up to you really...

Ah right.
Probably leave it just now then. The MOT is due in July so i`ll see what the guy says, if he laughs at it then i`ll need a new one, lol.

Thanks
