Broke licence plate. - SV650.org

I have just spent about 3 hours lovingly cleaning my SVS K4.
First a bath then a chamois then polish then chrome polish.
It looks fantastic. To try a keep the look I put my bike cover over it which I bought a London Bike show (With YAMAHA RACING written on side, they promised me it said SUZUKI)
And whilst in the process of this

SNAP

I look around the bike and cannot see why this noise occured, till I notice a small yellow coloured screw on the floor and my licence plate now dangling at 45 degrees. GUTTED
Am I able to just buy a yellow coloured screw or do I have to buy a whole new pack of some kind and if so where?

Just about any bike or car parts shop will have plastic number plate screws, they come in black and yellow and they're pennies, it could be worse.

On the subject whilst it is floating around in my spacious yet empty mind how much would it cost to get rid of that awful looking black thing that adorns the rear of my bike holding the licence plate and indicators. I am no mechanic so I would have to take it to a garage or something.

go to www.hamicad.co.uk and give them some money for a fender eliminator.
Could take as long as a couple of hours to fit. It's not difficult, just fiddly.
You don't even need to be particularly competent, I did mine ok.

Those plastic number plate screws usually get overtightened, which is what happened to yours I suspect.

I've used them for all sorts of things, mudflaps etc. They only need to be nipped up gently, and they don't seem to come undone in my experience.

When I washed the Hairnet I was wiping the front nearside indicator and the lens came away in my hand - the screw housing on the inside had sheared right through, the screw was overtight, now the lens is held on by a pretty elastic band

What do you expect with crap Honda build quality? New set of micros awaiting fitment.

Go to the sv.tk site & it shows you step by step how to cut the old back end off & replace with new, did mine & looks ok, cost about £20.
