Default Landscape gardeners

Does anyone know of any good firms in the N. Cheshire area? Recommendations? Ideally I'd like to have a go at it myself but the garden is big and I'll need earth movers and plus I'm never here!

I have very good contact in said line of work who is also a former hairstylist to the stars. His range of topiary offerings are a wonder to behold. I can pass you his contact details but must advise you that if you have peacocks wandering the estate he will be somewhat reluctant to take on your contract due to a rather unfortunate incident several years ago,(which he did deny in court but to no avail, although the weight of evidence which included a small length of hose pipe and a bottle of baby oil were pretty damning )

Thanks, I've given Robin Williams a call - they seem alright, if a little pricey. They're charging £500 for a quote though which I wasn't too happy at, but I suppose there is a fair distance to travel and a reasonable amount of planning.

Some of their existing designs were very similar to what I had in mind so hopefully it'll work out.

And so MP...Will you be retaining the Crocquet lawn as an integral feature of the new avant garde design?

No. I will be having no croquet lawns, nor Peacocks, nor waterfalls that generate holographic yellow brick roads which lead to Tyrolean enlightenment.

More than likely I'll be settling for a reasonable tiered garden, a water feature, and some nice plants which will more than adequately fit in with my stately semi.

Martin...Your plan does indeed sound very nice. I hate gardening but can appreciate a well presented one.
