i tried contacts for 6 months but they ended up being rejected by my rubbish eye. they started getting the feeling of cat hairs in them so i gave them up as a bad job. Now i'm back to specs with reactions lenses, fraid i have to get used to the steam up and rained on trick

Yes, contacts are great and feel safer to a degree. They will dry out very quickly though and as a glasses wearer you may not realise how exposed your eyes will feel when you get rid of the glasses, was a strange feeling.
I keep a couple of replacement lenses in all my jackets in case I need a change, but then I'm over cautious cos I couldn't get home without them in. |

I always wear my frames when I ride. Granted, the glass can fog up a little on a very hot and rainy day... but then again so does the visor on my mask.
My eyes get too dry when I ride visor up and wear contacts and I don't wear contacts when it's alergy season. I don't mind wearing my specs when I ride, but it is a little bit of a pain to put them on and off after my mask (I wear a cheap CS-12 from HJC). |

I've worn specs for years, and tried contact lenses a few times but never could be bothered with all the faff - even with disposables.
Then I passed my bike test, and now I'm using the monthly disposables which you can leave in overnight. They don't suit everybody, but if they do, they're a revelation. Now I can have seven days of uninterrupted clear vision before I take them out to clean them and give my eyes 24 hours rest - the first time I've had that for nearly 20 years! I rode in specs today for the first time in ages, and it was a royal pain in the backside. Contacts are soooo much better. |

Contacts, speshly daily disposables, are great for riding in, and you can carry spares easily. Much more comfortable and versatile than specs, esp if it's cold. And it means you can wear shades under your lid as well if you feel the need.
