Anyone know how to remove the spring from an SRAD GSXR 750 rear shock?
Any help is most welcome. Cheers |

Thought of that but I need the rest of the shock to put the SV spring back on!

Don't you need a special tool to take these apart

I've got spring compressors but does the shock unscrew/dismantle from the top or bottom.

You shouldn't need a spring compressor. You should be able dismantle the shock at the bottom.
Slacken the preload rings right off to take all the load off the spring. That should allow you to push up on the disc that the spring sits on at the bottom of the shock and slide it out, to allow you to remove the spring. This is true for later GSXR Shocks anyway, should be the same for yours. Last edited by Flamin_Squirrel; 03-02-08 at 06:07 PM. |
