Can you get a Digi Gear indicator for the Curvy? and if so does anyone know where from and a basic description of how they connect up?

In order.
1.yes you can, two makes, the red one is datatool, acumen make the same thing but with a blue display. 2. most large motorbike store, or ail order either direct or from M&P/Busters/demon tweeks etc. 3. As it was so long ago(circa 2002) I can't remember the wiring, however I do remember it wasn't how the instuctions said, after several mails back and forth and a good deal of playing around I did get it to work, although it would at times just go into random number generation mode. Cheers Mark.

Who cares what gear you are in?
As long as the revs are right, it makes no difference? I certainly ain't got time to check out what gear i'm in when tanking along - got better things to worry about ![]() |

My Veypor had one, it was pretty accurate though it didn't work at a standstill... It just worked by comparing revs and speed so add in the clutch and it freaked out of course.

Don't see the point really, I can match the rev's to the speedo and know what gear I am in. With a V-twin you don't really need one, the torque will just keep pulling whatever gear/speed you are in/at!

Thanks for al the reply's back guys... The only real reason i want it is for the look really. I've done a front end conversion on my SV and have some brand new dials but they just look lonesome by themself so was gonna spruce it up with the Digi Gear Indicator. So as i said it's just for the look.
Thanks Rictus, i'll check out the datatool and acumen. if i do decide to get one it will prob be the acumen cause it shines blue and so does my new digi speedo. |
