Default Electrics help- diodes

I have a trailtech vapor, and 4 idiot lights to wire up. I've chosen to have fuel reserve, high beam, neutral and one light for indicators.

Looking at the wiring diagram recently, there are 2 diodes inside the standard clocks, the wires are then connected and one signal goes up to the idiot light? Apologies for how I'm wording this, but my understanding of electronics is limited at best. As far as I can tell from a bit of google fu, the diodes are probably going to be signal diodes for small currents. Can any electrical wizard tell me which diodes I need?

I'm guessing the diodes are there to stop both indicators flashing when one is turned on?

Thanks for any help

The diodes are so one indicator warning lamp works for both, but so current can't pass through the circuit and light all 4 indis.

IIRC you don't need any diodes for fuel warning, hi-beam or neutral lamp.

Signal diodes wont handle the current, you want any of the range 1N4001 - 1N4007
