Default Ticking from exhaust

Right, I have a CCC end can, and I've noticed that it ticks a little, with the noise definitely coming from around the can somewhere. I only noticed when my earphones broke, it sounds ever so slightly like a diesel tick. Little bit weird, no?

Anyone have any ideas? I'll check the haynes manual see what it tells me if anything, it's probably just me. It's getting serviced on Thursday before I drive off up norf, I'll mention it to them too.

Also as it did worry me, I'm almost 100% positive it's not a rear cam chain slapping.

There's a bomb in it.

I would think so but it tends to be in time... I'll give it a listen when I fire it up tomorrow.

Oh, also, I tried to add a little choke when I left work as apparantly you're meant to warm up bikes before you go, didn't seem to do much and the lever stopped half way. I'll take a look tomorrow and check the plungers/cable, or just try and put choke on again. Could this be causing the ticking, I dunno, fuelling issue?

maybe exhaust side valve clearances but you will get a bit of a tick through an exhaust anyway espectially one which is less baffled than the standard.

Mild case of paranoia.

now if it had a burning smell and it was still smoking like a newly fired gun, 2 mins after switching off...then you'd ahve something to worry about
