Default Oil for Scottoiler...

Would any of the northeast lads on here happen to know of anywhere in Newcastle which sells a refill for my scottoiler as mine is now empty.

Not from the northeast, but Hein Gericke sell refills if there is one near you.

Buy chainsaw oil as it's a damn sight cheaper and is exactly the same stuff. I bought 5 litres of it for a tenner 6 years ago and I'm just about to buy some more as it's done a brilliant job.

You can get chainsaw oil at an arboralist's shop, or look in yellow pages for gardening machinery suppliers.

I'll check down westgate hill for a hein gericke shop, hmm chears lozzo my old man has loads of chain saw oil as we cut logs and trees and stuff all the time for his wood burning stove.

I just fire used engine oil into mine, works fine in summer, not tried it in winter yet- might be a wee bit thick.

Cheers lads i normally use makita/dolmar oil in the chainsaws but tbh i think they cost more than the 4.99 or so that you can get 500ml of the scottoiler stuff for......update on saturday anyway
