Default Scottoiler question.

The general wisdom says a dual injector is no better than a single injector as with a single the oil works it's way across using special oily magic.

My old bike had a single injector feeding between the sprocket and the chain plate and the chain was approrpiately oily all over suggesting oily magic works.

My current bike has a dual injector. To get the inner dispenser oiling the inner side correctly the outer chucks on so much oil the back tyre gets coated. With the system restricted to prevent me having exciting left-handers the inner injector does not feed much.

Now. In theory this is just working as a single injector which used to work fine. However the centre and inside of my chain is bone dry.

I've cleaned out then replaced the injectors and generally checked it out but it looks like there are 2 problems.

1. Unable to ballance between the two feeds. Any tricks?
2. Why does a single feeding dual injector not work like a single feed and coat all the chain?

Ideas?

contact scotoiler and ask them...

but i would just set it up as a single sided and let the inner side supplement the outer, after all a single sided works well, the inner will just make it a little better.

I'd fit it up as a single sided oiler and let oily magic works its wonders again.

I just don't understand why a dual injector working on one side does not cover the whole chain like a single sider does dripping at the same rate in the same place.

Do different chains spread the oil differently? Last owner put some super-dooper fancy chain on so perhaps some chain designs are impervious to the oily magic usually at work?

Anyone else had issues with the oil not travelling across the chain to the inner edge?

Chains are pretty much the same regarding oil creep across their surfaces.
