Talking spend £1350

My bike was kindly writin off by the insurance company cat d so im gettin a cheque for £1750 minus £300 to buy it back. Now this is the funny bit i paid £1500 for the bike a 99 sv650s with 7000 on the clock (now 11) so for 1years perfect riding and the " slightly damaged bike now (still rides perfect)i have spent £150 .

current damage crack in r h fairing, right barend scraped, r wing mirror scraped, exhaust can small scrape, f brake lever has flat spot, and r brake snapped but has been replaced.

its my first bike so i,m going to do it up ( i'm a sentimental ******* ) so with this info tell me how to spend the £1350 ( basic mechanics level labour free and my mate is also going to paint it for me for cost )

the bike is standard apart from db screen, rear hugger, fend ext
i am really looking forward to hearing what you lot think cheers

1) Get a nice exhaust on it to begin with, something nice and loud!

2) Get some mini indicators on it, make it look so much better believe me.

3) Big bore kit? Louder and more powerful. Cant hurt.

4) The take it racing, sorted.

Sorted. Then you have bike you can ride properly without worrying about getting a little scratch on

Nice exhaust, Tube of autosol.

Spend £500 on tools. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

Keep rest for insurance/tax/mot. Or give it to me.

1..yes a nice exhaust is a must

2..keep the OEM indicators, they are made out of some sort of boomerang material, and as myself and many people have found when falling off, they save your plastics by injuring themselves...mini indies maker your plastics a little bit more vunerable to more damaage, not that you intend to coming off again
3..what d'ya wanna a big bore kit for ...pointless
4..don't take it racing.....which points me to the next one
5..yes get another SV..that way if you have problems with one of them, theres always the other to get on instead, and rob parts off it, or use one for commuting and one for best, or one for racing
