Default Voltmeter

The alarm system on the bike occasionally beeps after I turn the bike off. When I eventually got around to finding and reading the manual it turned out it was telling me the bike had gone over-voltage at some point since the last disarming.

Stuck a test meter on it and it seems OK when revved on the drive-way, but thought it may be a good idea to fit a voltmeter for a while to keep an eye on it when out and about.

Anyone know of a cheap, not too ugly volt meter? Don't want to spend a lot as it'll only be ther until it's fixed or found to not actaully be broken.

I've got a logging test meter with a max/min feature but that means taking a tank-bag or clearing all the junk from under the seat so not ideal and I'm not convinced being vibrated to bits on a bike woud do the meter the power of good.

Also what is the recommended maximum voltage from the regulator?

If it briefly peaks over that is it likely to be anything other than the regulator?

It's a K3 SV1000 if it makes any difference.

Thanks,
Mark
