Default Curvy valve clearances

Am I right in thinking I can get sufficient clearance to check the front valve clearances, by loosening the radiator and pulling it forward ?. I want to avoid draining the cooling system.

I tried pivoting the radiator forwards and ended up spliting a hose so for the expense of the pipe and time waiting for one (10 days) may be worth just doing a coolant change at the same time (unless you've recently done one) as it only takes 30mins if that to do a flush and fill.

I drop the radiator down below the cylinder head, need to take out the front LHS engine bolt on mine to make this work but it gives you so much more space to work with, so for me I find it's worth it.
