Default Just how much load can the battery take?

Just in the final stages of preparation for my first trip away and rigging up a few gizmos to the bike to save having to worry about batteries.
iv got a tomtom rider sapping 5v at 2amp and an oxford bikemike intercom drawing 12v at less than 1amp. im not particularly electrics savvy and would just like someone to tell me wether that is ok or not and what sort of max amperage/voltage i should (or shouldnt) be trying to suck from the battery at any one time.

thanks in advance!

as both will be "whilst the engine is running" you'll be more than find, even without the engine on it'd be sometime before it became an issue.

can't remember the generator output on the SV (that's if it is an SV, you don't say), but unless you're running aux spots or something I wouldn't worry.

Cheers Mark.

Shouldn't be loading the battery for anything but starting. The question should be "how much load can the alternator take?"
You should safely have 80-100W to play with at cruising rpm - less at idle. I believe that peak output is somewhere near 350-400W, but a good portion of that is sucked up by the ignition, injection and fuel pump.
Electronic gizmos are insignificant really. It is only when you start upgrading lights, running heated grips/vests and other high draw items that you need to start counting the Watts.

Cheers
