What a Load of ......
Ive just heard that some people are tryig to ban scrums in Rugby Union as they are too dangerous.
for the love of god people is not tiddley winks, the people playing are aware it can be harmful etc.. Bl00dy nanny state  rant over |

Players all knew the risks, that must be balanced against the enjoyment involved.
This Doctor must have treated hundreds involved in road accidents - why is he not crying out the obvious need to close all roads in the interest of public safety. Come to think of it I can't imagine of a completative sport that does have some risk. |

Lets face it though we all go on about these stupid people trying to ban things in the name of safety. But it only makes the headlines to serve to p**s people off because of its shear stupidity.
Realistically no law is ever gonna be passed that bans the sport just cos of some jumped up doctor's opinions. He probably only said it to get heard. |

Anyone that plays rugby knows you can get hurt... Refs do wht they can to make scrums safer too- penalties for collapsing, no charging in any more.

I think the doctor was trying to get his name in the news, can u imagine this went through it wouls set a precident for baning almost any sport invloving risk....
