Default Dead ipod

My ipod is dead, error 1439, just updated the itunes and then the ipod crashed and now my 20gb ipod classic wheel click is dead...
I hate it, lost all my tunes...
tried formating it.. gets to 99% then sorry windows can't format.

any ideas.... apart from hitting it with an ihammer...

Is that the itunes formatting or formatting it is as an external hdd?

both. itunes can't do it, the factory restore gives me the error 1439 or 1418
windows format 99% then nothing.

no, get the apple logo sign then a folder with www.apple.com/support/ipod
then it turns it self off after about 10 seconds.

iThink we should have a competition to see who can come up with the most inventive method of iDeath for it.

Then you should exact your iRevenge and post pictures.

Here's a starter for ten - see whether an iPod can resist the crushing action of the chain/sprocket interface of a 650cc V-twin motorcycle.
