Default Xv535 oil change.

Hi all,

The wife has a yamaha xv535 virago (97) which we brought from Burnley last week including my sv650s which i bought in wolverhampton and we rode the both to stranraer and home then to Northern Ireland....... (That was a mouthfull) lol.....

However im gonna do an oil change to her xv535 but im unsure on what oil to use as ive been told the semi synthetic stuff aint no use to this age of bike......

Any ideas on whats the best oil to use for this machine....

Barney....

I cant think why semi synthetic motor cycle oil should be a problem in that bike as long as the viscosity is right. Is there a handbook with it that tells you anything?

You changing the drive shaft oil?
If it's just the normal engine oil you should be fine.
