Default A great day of riding

So I've started riding with a friend of mine, which has been excellent, because everyone else I seem to ride with just doesn't really ride that, well, that quickly really, which is annoying. So we went all over Kent pretty much, and ended the day with a spot of roundabout surfing, as you do, and said mate and I get all geeky about riding position, lean angle, suspension settings, all that sort of stuff.

Either way, it worked out pretty good as with my most comfortable position on the bike I managed to grind out my exhaust, apparently sending a massive shower of sparks out. Had to start hanging off more, but I only have about half a peg left now :P

So yeah, no real point to this but I know some of you are geeky about sporty riding so if you're in Kent, you're welcome to join us when we're next out. We tend to go out most Wednesdays to Sandwich area to the cafe there via Pfizers.

You're not the first Southerner I've heard say that Southern rideouts are a bit slow. You should come further North mate where we ride properly

Southern straightliners

Seriously though it scarily easy to scrape the exhaust of a pointy SV, someone pointed out I nearlly touched down and showed me a photo so I bought a smaller exhaust lol, it is like the titanic afterall. It touches down maybe 5mm after the pegs touch down.

Here's some pics to demonstrate:

First off, here's the left hand peg just to show you what the full thing looks like

Secondly, here is the right hand peg:

These pegs have about an extra inch and a half/2 inches of ground clearance on the standard pegs on there owing to being less deep, no hero blobs and less wide also. As you can see, I've lost about an inch off the right hand one

And the exhaust:
