Default Bike servicing in and around Wakefield.

Hi all, I have recently bought an SV650S and want to get it serviced. I would do it myself but it has already got full service history with all the paperwork and I'd like to keep it this way.

Does anyone know of any reputable bike garages around the Wakefield / Castleford / Pontefract areas where I could get the bike serviced?

Also, I've already bought everything required for the service (Oil, oil filter, plugs, brake fluid etc). Do most garages allow you to supply your own parts or are some a bit funny about this kind of thing?

Thanks in advance, Ryan.

Thought as much but I've already bought all the service parts so I don't want to waste them.

I think I may have a go at doing it myself actually. I've serviced MX bikes I have owned in the past so it can't be much different? It's just the brake bleeding and refilling that I'm unsure about. Never done it before! Where abouts in Yorkshire you from then mate? Will have to go on a rideout sometime.

Ahhh, found out where it is and it's quite close to the XS rider training in Allerton where I learnt to ride! Will be making a visit there sometime in the near future I think. Cheers mate.

Try Castle, the Honda dealer in Cas. They have a pretty good reputation. Other than that, the only other place I know of is Padgett's in Batley.

A bit further afield, but probably reachable is Appleyard's in Leeds. The downside is that I've found them pricey, but they have in the past acknowledged the smaller parts of a service I've done myself like oil filters etc. and from memory, I think they've used parts I've provided before. They'll obviously hire you a demo bike too for the day to get to and from them.
