just sat her reading the org. A wasp has crawled up my leg and stung me on the leg when I rubbed where I could feel something.
OK it is dead now. I have flicked out the remnants of its **** that was stuck in my leg. what else do I do now. I seem to recall an old wives tale of putting vinegar on a wasp sting. Is that true? Good job it was me. my twin bro goes into anaphylactic shock to wasps stings. and he works doing landscaping. Silly boy update, 15 minutes later it is starting to hurt. a 2 " diameter patch round the sting site has gone lobster red ![]()

my mum used to liberally chuck vinegar at me if I was stung, dont know if its all stings or just bees or wasps. Might as well try though.

Won't anti-histimine help. Or just ice it and don't run it for FFS.
But nothing beats being stung in the face by a hornet. |

No anti histimine here.
One of the funniest sights I have seen on a bike was when following my mate Howard (H) with mate 90 on the back in South France (Near antibe). Stopped at a red light something goes down H's back. He tells 90 to get it out. 90 shoves his hand down the back in front of him as the lights change and is stung on the hand. Off they go down the road, 90 battering the riders back. We stop a mile down the road and H removes his vest top. South of France mid July short trip from camp site to beach. vest/shorts. Poor H has about 4 stings on his back, bruising from 90s battering. Fergin hilarious.

Wasp sting venom is alkaline - use vinegar (don't use battery acid, no matter how much it hurts
![]() ![]() Bee sting venom is acidic - use bicarbonate of soda. HTH |

For Wasp stings, if you haven't got any vinegar get a mate to p!$$ on you.
Chances are he won't hit you for laughing ![]()

Owww! That happened to me a couple of year back with a bumblebee - a queen climbed up my trouser leg in search of a nesting site
![]() Can't help you re remedies though I'm afraid - after repeated stings my leg swelled up like an elephant's for a few days, and was sore to walk on. But it did go away eventually if that helps?! ![]() |
