Default Fitting a hugger.

I bought a hugger from obay, listing said it was off an early curvy.

Ive got it in the garage and I can see where the two mounts use the chain guard mounts, but there are two mounting holes on the other side that dont match anything.

Any ideas how to fit it, am i missing some brackets, or do you just cable tie it round the swingarm?

cheers
Matt

You should have a bolt into the top of the swingarm just behind the rear shock and one on the right hand swingarm where the brake line is held in place by the guide

These are the only 2 other securing places for a Curvy hugger, than the chainguard side, which you've identified.

Sounds like you've got the wrong one. Pics would help

You have the right one, just minus the bracket for the brake line side.

cheers, looks liek i'll be tryign to make a bracket, unless there is somewhere to buy yhem separately?

I'll pop a pic up tomorrow just to make sure.

Would it be very wrong to attach that side with cable ties for now?

Nope, sounds like a permanent solution to me ..clear ones if you got a silver swingarm, black ones if black, happy days

Hi mate.

I had exactly the same problem as you have. In the end i cable tied it around the bracket and onto the swingarm. Made it look as tidy as possible till I make a complete new bracket for it. Job done, and no problems to mention of so far!

Oh and as Noob says do clear plasties! I first attempt it with black ones and it looked a right bodge-it-and-scarper job!
