Default Anyone who's done their own spray painting.

OK Im a total NOOOOB with this stuff, only this lunch time I found out that air-brush and spray paint are different things. Before I decide if this is something I actually a serious option I need to know the do's and donts etc so...

I want advice from those on here, who with out proper training have done some spray painting of plastics etc? The tips/tricks/methods anything and everything from your experiance.

Oh and a good place to buy a decent yet low cost compressor etc would be great too.

Aldi sometimes have compressors etc, not sure of quality though, but I'd guess they'd be OK for someone who's starting out.

you need to make sure the compressor gives oil free air, otherwise that can ruin paint. Not sure if you can get inline filters or anything like that, or whether its just down to the compressor

Na i wanna do it myself, i like learning the new skills an having bikes it can be quite handy to know how to do it.
Also it gives me the excuse to get the compressor that I want for the airtools. Im hoping to get back into Enduro racing once the credit crunch favours me a bit more so I'll be doing loads of monkey work then lol.

And what does spraying have to do with enduros?

Plastics on enduros are never painted, just replaced
