Default Something To Hold A Passenger Helmet

Short of letting it flop around on the side of the bike by the helmet lock, what is a good method/device for keeping a passenger helmet on the bike. (Say, for example, when going to pick someone up who doesn't have one so you bring an extra.)

a cargo net (bungee net) is the best way to carry a spare lid on the pillion seat

I've got one of those Knox rucksacks, and I wouldn't like to try to ride a bike with a helmet stuffed in the bottom - at a pinch you could walk about with one, but I reckon that would be quite uncomfortable

One of these Quicksilver rucksacks:

Perfectly lid-sized. Good bags too, though not cheap- I've used mine daily for about two and a half years now, with some hefty stuff in it sometimes, and it's been great. Shame it's not waterproof though.
