A607 Melton speed traps

Hi All,

After making it a 50 limit, and installing a fixed camera near Brooksby, it looks like Leics plod are going all out for for A607 towards Melton with regular and varied mobile speed traps. Be careful or avoid. See below

Speed Enforcement A607 Rearsby to Melton
From the week commencing 13th April 2009, the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Safety Camera Scheme will be deploying mobile speed camera enforcement along the A607 Rearsby Bypass to Melton.
This stretch of the A607 will be classified as an ‘enforcement route’ and will be targeted under the Force’s ‘Community Concern’ enforcement policy.
Route:
The enforcement route is the stretch of the A607 between the start of the Rearsby Bypass at Queniborough and the roundabout at Edendale Road, Melton and is 12.47Km in length.

Thanks for the head up, rarely ride it but do the 606 and 6047 quite a bit.

Infact did the 6047 Wednesday and noticed a community speed team in the first village heading north from Market harbrough

thanks for the heads up,, thats a regular route for me with it being 30 secs from home..

That is very handy to know as I'm going to be doing that route a few times over the next few weeks so thank you.
