So I finally finished spraying the bike . . lacquer has dried . . but what next.

Is there any recommended polish or something to use to give it some extra protection?

I wouldnt wax, polish, tcut or anything for a while, let the paint harden naturally.

Years ago, my father bought a band new XR3I in gloss black. He spent his first weekend, 4 miles on the clock polishing it.

See Tim, if you look after it it will last forever. Spent the next 3 months arguing with the ford dealer about the respray as he polished it straight through to the primer.

As for looking after it, it went to the scrap yard with 45,000 on it as it had been eaten by wire worm
