Default Digi Gear indicator and Revlight

Hey all,

Found these 2 items in my shed. They were both on my race bike for a while but I found I didn't use them much.

DIGI is listed in the stuff wanted page:
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...74#post2290474

Am after £35 delivered.

REVLight

Fully working revlight AKA shiftlight. Comes with full instructions and wiring diagrams. Easy to fit - you just need a soldering iron or some chocolate box connectors. (soldering is better). I've left my own wiring notes for a K4 in there too so should make it even easier.
It has a few different modes on it and will illuminate a sequence of green LEDs to red when you need to change or just flash like crazy when you need to shift - this is what I had it set to on track.

Product website:
http://www.datatool.co.uk/consumer/p...oduct=revlight

After £45 delivered.

Cheers,
Dave

Yeah it's really easy. Just make sure the connections are solid and everything gets a constant signal. Ideally solder them together and put some heat shrink around them. I've not really touched any electrics before and I managed to work it out. I've left all my installation notes in too so all you've got to do is match the colours.
There's an online instruction manual here if you want to check it all out. There's also a 'how to' video.

I'll vouch for the Rev light, I fitted one on the S4 as going onto an IL4, I'd naturally change up to early, it is set to go into the Orange range at at 7k and red at 11k and everything flashes at 14k just before the limiter cuts in, apart from that it's also quite bling as it cycles through the full range when you turn on....

Am I right in thinking Power consumption would be negligible? (on the revlight?)
How would you go about mounting this on a pointy dash would it be a case of drilling a hole for each led and poking them through?

Yeah, should be negligible. I've not got the exact figures but I ran both the digi and revlight on my track bike with a smaller capacity battery than stock and I never had any problems.
On the track bike I'd mounted it directly to the clock surround above the rev indicator, but I didn't have any of the infill panels off the road bike. It originally came with a sticky pad that secured it down but I ended up getting a strip of sticky backed velcro and using that.
A quick look at my road bike and you should be able to mount it in a similar position - on top the clocks - on top of the flat clock surround and under the screen. There's no need to drill holes for the LEDs though it might be neater if you drill a single hole in the top infill panel to take the cable and route it through the nose cone fairing. If you've got a black screen though there's no real need to even do that - just run it down the back and through the gap between the faring and the bottom of the screen.

Cheers for that, just weighing up if it'll look neat enough.
